The Bund Philatelistischer Prüfer will be represented with an advisory stand at the International Stamp Fair
in Ulm from October 24 to 26, 2024.

The examiners listed below will be present at the stand and available for consultation:

The third stamp and coin fair took place in Löhne on August 30 and 31, 2024. The BPP was represented here for the first time with an information and advice stand with a total of five expertizers covering a wide range of expertizing areas. More than 70 consultations impressively confirmed the necessity of our presence at such events.

In addition to high-quality individual items, the colleagues at the advice stand were also presented with collections of various sizes, where collectors had questions about very specific stamps, some of which could be answered on the spot or an examination was recommended, as no final examination (e.g. with findings or attestation) can take place at such events. However, there were also inquiries from visitors to the stand who, in one case, had a complete inheritance with them in a van. In some cases, collectors were saved from damage during the consultations, or the expert advice confirmed high-quality items that the collector had not expected.

The stamp fair also met with interest from the press, which was impressively demonstrated by the visit of a representative of a local newspaper to the BPP advice stand.

The perfect organization of the stamp fair by the stamp and coin collectors’ association “Briefmarken- und Münzen-Sammler-Verein Löhne und Umgebung e.V.” and the commitment of Heiko Rohde contributed to an all-round successful event.

The following of our examiners will be available at the stand:

Friday, 30.08.: Rolf Tworek, Andreas Wehner, Jörg Mathies

Saturday, 31.08.: Rolf Tworek, Andreas Wehner, Jörg Mathies, Andreas Rolle

Hans-Dieter Schlegel has announced that he will no longer be working on the Allied Control Council expertizing area with immediate effect and requests that future expertized items be sent to his colleague Andreas Wehner. Color determinations will continue to be made only by the Allied Control Council Consortium (Bernhöft, Stumm).
