The examination happens on the basis of the "Bund Philatelistischer Prüfer e.V. (BPP)" rules. The minimum value of stamps/covers to be examined is EUR 20.- as given in the MICHEL-catalogue. The fee charged for expertisation is up to 4% of the appropriate MICHEL-catalogue value, the minimum fee for any sending is EUR 25.-. Normally we sign the stamps but on request we issue a certificate with illustration for stamps EUR 250.- up (Attest, additional fee EUR 20.-). For lower stamps we issue an illustration opinion (Befund, EUR 10.-) or a simplified opinion (Kurzbefund, EUR 5.-).

Forged overprints and postmarks, respectively regummed stamps have to be signed as such. For this case please give your written agreement to the general rules of expertising.

Please send your items for expertisation by insured letter (Wertbrief) or registered letter insured by yourself and use only solid envelopes. The stamps must be sorted and itemised to your best ability. Do not send albums.
